Amber trained in office administration and received multiple certifications, including Key Applications, Living Online, Computing Fundamentals, and Microsoft Office Specialist. After completing her training, Amber enlisted in the U.S. Army. Once she completes her service, she plans to go back to school to study early childhood education.
Gabe had a hard time finding work until his twin sister told him about Job Corps. The skills he gained in Job Corps’ culinary arts program—cooking and baking techniques, calculating measurements, inspecting and cleaning food preparation areas, and more—are what inspired him to work in the culinary field and get to where he is today. He is now the youngest chef at a fish and steakhouse restaurant.
Quashyne trained in facilities maintenance, and while in the program, he completed an internship at an apartment complex. As Quashyne finished up his internship, the vice president of AJPC Management contacted the Wilmington center looking for qualified graduates to fill an open position. Quashyne was recommended for the job and was hired four days later as a facilities maintenance technician.

is the Wilmington Job Corps literacy instructor. She has a degree in elementary and special education with concentrations in English and social studies. Ms. Bensinger strives to help students realize their potential and see how much they are able to accomplish.
is Wilmington Job Corps’ lead academic instructor and disability coordinator. She has an extensive background working with young adults and shares her own experience as a Job Corps student as she struggled to get her GED. Now she works with our students so they can find personal, professional, and academic success.
