has been the Clinical Medical instructor with Edison Job Corps Center for over five years. He brings extensive experience in the medical field to his classroom. Prior to joining EJCC, Dr. Rafik was a physician for 26 years. Currently, he is teaching medical courses in Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Administrative Assistant, Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Terminology and Anatomy. His primary objective as an instructor is to help young adults achieve their goals and aspirations.

Dorothy Kwiatkowski

is a CPR and Certified Nurse Assistant instructor at Edison Job Corps. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers University. Her previous employment includes working as a professional registered nurse in a city hospital and teaching a licensed practical nurse program in a county vocational school. Dorothy’s greatest joy is helping students comprehend medical topics.

Shontina Grant - Certified Nurse Assistant - Edison Job Corps Center

began her career at Edison Job Corps as a residential advisor before transitioning to her current role as a Certified Nurse Assistant instructor. Shontina is a licensed medical assistant and clinical nursing assistant. She is also certified in CPR and as a patient care technician. Shontina is currently enrolled in school to further her education and to keep her skills sharp and up to date. She enjoys teaching because it is her way of giving back to young adults who have similar interests and who are taking steps to achieve great things in the medical field.

has worked with TCU/IAM Advanced Transportation for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fitchburg State College. She has immensely enjoyed the privilege of connecting hundreds of students to their careers in the transportation industry since joining the team.

Peter Bienkiewicz - Security Protective Services - Grafton Job Corps Center

Peter Bienkiewicz

works as Security Protective Services instructor with Shriver Job Corps Center. He started working for the Grafton Job Corps Center’s Security and Protective Services department in 2004, began teaching Security and Protective Services in 2009, then joined the Shriver team in 2017. Peter brings 23 years of experience in the security industry, including roles as shift supervisor, site supervisor, assistant account manager and safety/security officer, as well as certifications in Management of Assaultive Behavior, First Aid and CPR.

Paul Robertson - Advanced Computer Systems Administration - Shriver Job Corps Center

Paul Robertson

serves as the Advanced Computer Systems instructor at Shriver Job Corps Center. He started working with Shriver Job Corps in 2008 as a Computer Technician instructor. Paul began his career in information technology in 1997, working for Lockheed and Martin Sanders, then started teaching IT in 2000. He earned a degree in IT from the University of Phoenix, network engineering certification from Hesser College, and multiple certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA.

Duane Bastarache - Carpentry - Shriver Job Corps Center

Duane Bastarache

is a Carpentry instructor with Shriver Job Corps Center. He graduated from Grafton Job Corps Center in 2002 and immediately started an apprenticeship with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local Union. He earned his degree in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and has been a member of UBC for over 20 years. He is living proof that the Job Corps program works, with hard work and determination. Duane admittedly tries to pay it forward every day and truly loves his job.

Christopher Katz - Carpentry - Shriver Job Corps Center

Christopher Katz

is a United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Carpentry instructor at Shriver Job Corps Center. He brings 17 years of field experience and has been a proud union member for over a decade. Christopher is an executive board member of Carpenters Local 336 and the chairman of the volunteer organizing committee and political action committee of Local 336. He looks forward to helping train the future generation of carpenters.
