He has over 20 years of experience as a Job Corps instructor, working at Great Onyx Job Corps Center before joining the Harpers Ferry team. Kevin holds a number of industry certifications and serves as an Incident Technical Support Specialist (ITSS) for the Forest Service, which allows him to train students to become ITSS-certified. Kevin also serves on the network advisory board to foster a partnership with the Blue Ridge Technical and Community College.

This is the first level of Advanced Training offered in the Advanced Computer Technician series. Students who complete the Advanced Computer Systems Administration training program can earn industry-recognized credentials from organizations such as the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) and Cisco. Credentials such as these show that students are ready for positions in computer programming and repair.
Students should also earn a state-issued learner’s permit and driver’s license upon completion of the program.

- Completion of Job Corps’ basic Computer Technician program
- Meet academic (math and reading) requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Positive attendance and progress record
- Written recommendation from Job Corps center personnel
- Health clearance at current center
- Strong work ethic and determination to succeed
- Have a positive behavior record
- Complete a successful phone or in-person interview
- Earned the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) certification
